Lawyers are selecting a jury for a disturbing criminal case in the Taylor County courthouse.

28-year-old Laci Wright is charged with causing injury to a child.

The charges are related to the 2009 sexual assault of a four-year-old child.

A daycare worker reported that the pre-school aged girl was injured.

Police later arrested and charged Daniel Crippon with aggravated sexual assault of a child.

He was convicted and sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Laci Wright was accused of failing to report the abuse even though she knew it had happened.
