Rising Star Man Faces Charges for Attempting to Assault Elderly Man

Clinton Grubb of Rising Star faces felony assault charges in Coleman County.

Grubb is accused of trying to beat an elderly man with a piece of furniture.
 
The indictment alleges that Grubb broke into a man's home back in February and tried to assault the man inside with a furniture leg.

The victim took the weapon away from Grubb and defended himself against the intruder.
 
Jury selection happened Tuesday.
