A quick way to raise money these days is by using a crowd funding site, a web page where a large number of people can donate small amounts of money for a cause.
A local start up company is hoping to get the last bit of money needed to open a brewery in Clyde.....

Pappy Slokum Brewery does not exist yet, but with a little luck, hard work and some help from a few hundred strangers, Jeff Bell is hoping it soon will.

Bell has been brewing beer for years and is now to the point that he thinks he can make it his living doing it.

But it didn't start out that way. Through a lot of trial and error Bell says he has recipes that can compete with the best of them.

Everything is in place and his recipes are tweaked to perfection, now all that is missing is the last bit of funding.
So Bell has turned to a crowd funding website called Indiegogo.com.

Bell says he is already having some success and if the money starts flowing, soon so will the beer.

You can find Pappy Slokum on Facebook with a link to the crowd funding page.
