The Brownwood Lions finished the regular season with a victory over Llano on Friday night.

Not only did that win give the Lions the top seed out of the district in the Division II playoffs, but it was head coach Bob Shipley's 125th win of his career.

It's a great milestone, and coach Shipley says he needed his players and assistants to get there.

"Somebody texted me yesterday and said 'congratulations 125' and it took me a few minutes to figure out what they were talking about," said Bob Shipley. "It's pretty special but all that means is that I've coached some great athletes and been in some great places. That's more of a tribute to the coordinators and the coaches and mostly the players than anything I've done. I've just been a really lucky guy."

The Lions open the 2012 playoffs on Friday night against Glen Rose in Stephenville at 7:30pm.
