Wednesday was national signing day for sports other than football, and Cooper golfer CharlesAnn Freeman signed on the dotted line.

Freeman made her college decision, and she is heading a little farther north and east. Freeman signed her national letter of intent to play golf for the Harding Bison in Searcy, Arkansas.

It's a long way to go, but she is looking forward to it.

Freeman said, "It is a long way, and that was one of the main things that I was a little 'iffy' about, but after we went and visited and met everyone there and talked to the people, everyone's so nice. They have, for the most part, the same belief system as me, and everyone was really polite. It was a good match for me as far as personalities."

Freeman is ranked 4th in her class at Cooper.
