Updated: November 15, 2012
A burglar is still on the loose after breaking into a home in southeast Abilene.

It happened in the 1200 block of Nottingham Road shortly before one Thursday afternoon.

A home alarm system notified police after a window was broken.

They arrived shortly after, but the burglar had already taken off.

Police searched the scene and say it looked like someone had rummaged through some belongings.

Police are working with the homeowner to determine what, if anything, was taken.
