The Breckenridge Buckaroos are a prime example of a football team peaking at the right time and winning the games that count. They started their pre-district schedule 0-4, but once district started, they ended that portion of their season 4-2 and secured themselves a spot in the playoffs.

"You always want to get started on the right foot, and its a lot easier for other things to come around a lot quicker, maybe, when you get started on the right foot, but our kids did a great job and our staff did a great job of just keeping things moving forward." says Head Coach Steve Freeman.

"We started playing really hard, and started realizing that since it's our senior year we should work harder and do the things we needed to do to get a win."

"It means a lot for the seniors and for the team to be able to go, and for the younger kids to know what its like to be in the playoffs."

"I feel like overcoming adversity helps the team become stronger on the run, and it helps us if we play tougher teams to fight harder because we know what its like to be down."

"You know, these kids want to be no different. This is our third season and our third trip now back into the plaoyffs. These kids wanted to insure that they continued that row. So it ends up being a circumstance now of not just getting in, but what are you going to do while your here." continues Coach Freeman.

Now the Buckaroos get ready for their first playoff game against the Bangs Dragons. That is at 7:30 at Wylie Bulldogs Stadium.
