After a tough start to the non-district schedule the playoffs probably seemed a bit of a dream for Brownwood Lions fans. After a strong run through the district slate, the Lions are now in the playoffs; where it's win or go home.

"There's no doubt our guys know they're only guaranteed one more," said head coach Bob Shipley. "Our seniors were very emotional last week at their last game at Gordon Wood Stadium. That's a very special place to those kids. They grew up watching the Brownood Lions play there. It's meant everything to them."

"It was a really special night. I'm glad I got to play on that field. I love playing on that field. I"m glad I got to be one of the few teams in Texas that get to play there and know that's my hometown," said senior Cooper Howey. "We got to start thinking about the future and that it might not be there if we don't succeed this Friday. We've got to start transferring the games. We can't keep making the mistakes we've been making and know that we'll have next week to make up for it. We got to start playing for tomorrow."

"It is win or go home. That's just the nature of the beast. Hopefully our guys will be very focused on Glen Rose," said Shipley. "They beat some good teams. They beat state ranked Alvarado; actually pretty good. I'm not surprised that some people consider us the underdog this week because they're 9-1 and we're 6-4."

Ironically this is not the Lions firs encouter with Glenn Rose in the playoffs. In 2011 Brownwood defeated Glenn Rose in the playoffs and ended their season. There's no doubt Glenn Rose would like to return the favor this year.
