Woman Illegally Rents Building to Homeless

An Abilene woman has been collecting rent on a building over on Butternut street without permission.

A police report reads that a 59-year-old women had keys made to a building on the 600 block of Butternut without the permission of the owner.

She then rented part of the building to homeless people, who the owner found living there.

The owner had everyone thrown out and the building has been boarded up.

The police report says the owner is not sure if he is going to file charges or not.
