Vote Controversy on Stephens County

By: Katie Thompson
Updated: November 16, 2012
There is some controversy over the way the Stephens County elections office counted the votes from last Tuesday's election.

The Stephens County commission met Friday morning to canvass the votes, but incumbent sheriff Dan Young alleges that there were some irregularities.

The sheriff says he is concerned that the voting machines were not properly secured after the election.

The final, but unofficial, count showed that Young lost the election to challenger George Wade.
