Go to Sam's Club, Adopt a Pet Saturday

By: Press Release
Updated: November 16, 2012
Sam's Club in Abilene will host a pet adoption and accept donations for Abilene Animal Services during a special event Saturday, November 17 at 5301 South First St.

This event gives animal lovers a chance to bring a valued pet into their homes for the holidays and the opportunity to make donations of money or products to organizations that work tirelessly for animals in need of a home.

The adoption event coincides with Sam's Club pharmacies now able to fill prescriptions for pets. Sam's Club Pharmacy offers a full line of prescription and non-prescription pet medications at significant savings. Available products include heartworm, joint health, and flea and tick medications. It is not necessary to be a Sam's Club member to use the pharmacy.

"Pets are a huge part of our members' families," said Lanny Jonas, Sam's Club pharmacists at S. First Street, "We are pleased to offer pharmacy services and other products for them to improve their lives".

Sam's Club also carries a wide variety of other supplies, including food, for our members' pets.
Sam's Club is a believer in the value of pets. In addition to the benefit of having a friend at your side, studies show owning a pet can help ward off depression, lower blood pressure and boost immunity.
