The Abilene Ballet Theatre has been very busy this season. During the holidays, they put on a classic show that resonates well with the dancers and the viewers.

The Nutcracker tells the story of a girl who dreams of a Nutcracker prince and his fight against King Mouse.

As a way to celebrate its 25th anniversary, the theatre has made it a point to rehearse at all times to get every move down. Since their auditions in August, the dancers have practiced day in and day out.

This tradition for the theatre continues this weekend as they present  five shows at the Paramount Theater.

KTAB 4u visited one of their last rehearsals to meet the newcomers and the seasoned dancers who are brought back in memories to their first performance in the Nutcracker.
