Updated: November 19, 2012
The holidays are a time for food, and the Taste of Home Cooking at the Civic Center Monday evening is designed to inspire cooks for their holiday meals.

The two and a half hour presentation will feature 10 recopies for those Thanksgiving meals as well as some everyday meal ideas.

Townsquare Media will provide goodie bags for the 7th annual event, saying they hope to inspire cooks while having a good time.

"We have some great recipes," emphasizes culinary expert Jamie Dunn. "We have great recipes for everyday cooking as well as the holidays. But also, because we have some great door prizes and we're just going to have a lot of fun. It's a great time to get away, to be thinking about the holidays, be thinking about what you want to cook and just have a good time."

The doors at the Civic Center are already open, and the cooking presentation starts at 6:30.
