Webcast: Most Abilene City Offices Closed for Thanksgiving

Almost all of the Abilene city offices will be closed for the long holiday weekend.

The exception will be Abilene police and firefighters who will be on duty for emergency situations.

The people who work in the 911 call center will also be on duty.

Most city of Abilene employees will have Thursday and Friday off to be home with their families.

There will be no trash collection Thursday or Friday.

Thanksgiving is one of only three days that the Abilene zoo is not open for visitors.

The zoo will be open again on Friday..and CityLink will operate a Saturday schedule on Friday.
