AHS's Walker Signs w/ACU Tennis

ACU added a tennis player to the recruiting class of 2013. 2012 state singles finalist Erin Walker signed her letter of intent to play for the Wildcats.

In career at Abilene High, Walker has won a total of 219  matches and counting, and she has been to state 2 times in 3 years.

Walker is looking forward to becoming a Wildcat.

Walker said, "I just like being up there. I just like the atmosphere of the school, and I have just always enjoyed it. Now I can just kind of enjoy the rest of my senior year and look forward to next year."

Walker's dad, John is one of the coaches at ACU, and she follows 2 older sisters on to the Wildcat tennis team.

Walker's accomplishments include:
2012 District 2-5A MVP
Freshman of the Year
1st team All-District singles, 2009 and 2012
1st team All-District doubles, 2009, 2010, and 2012
State doubles semi-finals in 2010
State singles runner-up in 2012
