Panthers Continue Defense Of Title

By: David Robinett
Updated: November 21, 2012
The Abilene Christian High School Panthers continue the defense of their state championship this week in Zephyr.

The Panthers take on Bullverde Bracken Christian in the 2nd round.

The Panthers are the team that every team in the playoffs want to knock off, so they say they have to play their best every time they take the field.

"They're a good team, they have a good offense, and a pretty good defense. We are just going to try and score some points and have a lock down defense." Says Trevor  Tyson.

"We just have to work hard every single day, and pretend like it's our last practice. If we go out to the field and practice 100% every single day, it's going to be hard to stop us." adds Harrison Hancock

"Every year, everyone wants the State Championship, that's us too. So no matter who has the target on their back, everyone is going for it and so are we. We just have to keep on looking at the ultimate prize." continues Tyson.

The Panthers are headed to Zephyr to take on Bulverdee on Saturday afternoon. That game will get started at 2. The winner will most likely face top ranked Dallas Covenant next week.
