Is there a cover up in Breckenridge, or is it an administrative oversight?  The District Attorney will find out as his office begins an investigation we first reported to you on Tuesday...

It was early Tuesday morning, when a call for help by a police officer was heard on Breckenridge police radios. At first, there was no evidence that the call happened, but today there is evidence in the form of documents, audio and video of the Breckenridge golf club.

Dash cam video of a Stephens county sheriff's deputy shows the officer responding to a call for help by a female officer at the golf course. Another officer says he is also on his way.

No one is saying what happened or naming names  but the Breckenridge chief of police said two of his officers were involved and he was waiting for full reports from them.
But as of Wednesday, the chief said it was an internal investigation and he was turning it over to the District Attorney's office.

In the video, you can hear a police officer tell the sheriff's deputy everything is under control. In the background, you can see the female officer and another male standing by a truck.

KTAB news obtained a copy of the Breckenridge police call log - and the incident at the golf course is nowhere to be found.  The document shows calls stopped at 11:30 P.M., Monday night. Police didn't get another call till  after 9 A.M., Tuesday morning. The incident at the golf course took place after midnight, early Tuesday morning and is not listed in the call log.

Sources tell KTAB the mysterious man in the video was the newly elected Stephens county Sheriff Billy Wade. When we asked the chief, he said Wade is a police department employee and he could not comment. He also could not say what his female officer was doing at the golf course and why she called for help.

Ed Russell, who was recently elected as a Stephens County commissioner, also came out the incident scene for reasons unknown.

Well a full investigation should be done and before January, when the sheriff elect will take office.

Imagine that covering up something an elected official in Breckenridge does, that original, not.
