It's been an incredible season for the Anson Tigers; from 0-10 in 2011 to 10-1 in 2012 after a win in the playoffs over Windthorst. Needless to say, that has the Tigers and the community buzzing, and wanting one more.

"It was a big win for us. That was the first time we've won a playoff game in ten years. So, no doubt that was a special moment for us as a community and as a school," said head coach Keith Woolf.

"With all the hard work we've put in since last January, it was really rewarding to get that first playoff win, and get that gold ball. It just shows that all the hard work we've put in is paying off right now," said quarterback Jalen Garza.

"It's been a fun ride, honestly, the kids have bought in and they're still doing a great job. Luckily we're still healthy and continuing to roll. That has a lot to do with it," said Woolfe.

This week will be another tough test for the Anson Tigers. It will be Stratford on Firday night, and they have plenty of tradion. The Tigers on the other hand would like nothing more than to continue the impressive season, and build a little tradition for themselves.

The Tigers and Stratford get their Area championship game started at 6. They are set to met at Lubbock Cooper High School on Friday night.
