All of that exercise may not help you get in shape, if you don't eat right.

Cassandra Gaudet, a member of the Bayou City Crossfit Gym said, "I'm thinking that's tough to do. It is at the beginning because you have to restructure the way you think about food."
And restructure she did.  She added crossfit training and began following what's called a Paleo diet.
It's just about knowing having the knowledge to make the right decisions," Gaudet said.
With the healthy changes, Gaudet lost 20 pounds.

The Paleo Diet calls for eating lots of protein, like hamburger, chicken and natural vegetables.

So her advice is to cut out bad carbs, even during your Thanksgiving feast.
Krisitan Montoya, a Crossfit coach said, "More turkey and more vegetables on the plate. More of the green beans. More of the sweet potato. Rather than mashed potato and dressing and stuff like that."
Montoya says cutting carbs will help you burn even more fat when you do fast paced exercise, like those at his Crossfit gym.

Michael Agee, another gym Member, said the changes are tough.
"They're tough. It takes a lot of dedication. I just try to stay from the sweets. that's my main thing just stay away from the sweets."

Sticking with a plan, nutritionists say can make a big difference.
