Last month, an Abilene stabbing victim was taken to the hospital after an attack in the 1000 block of Matador. A few days later, we reported that she could no longer feel her legs and was paralyzed. Police arrested Robert Latham, for the stabbing but never found a motive for the attack..

20-year-old Raimee Brown spoke exclusively to KTAB and she says she doesn't understand why she was stabbed either.

Brown showed us her stab wounds, two in her left arm and one in her back. The stab wound in her back severed her spinal cord, leaving her paralyzed. She said as soon as she was stabbed she could not feel her legs.

She recalls the moments before she was attacked by Robert Latham in the garage apartment. She said she had just gotten out of the shower and was sitting on the couch with her back facing Latham. She then remembers waking up with her in her lap.

Brown said she recalls Latham telling her, "This is what I thought you wanted."

Some would have anger toward their attacker, but not Brown. Her reaction to Latham is surprising.

She said the attack has shown her she has so much to live for. The incident has changed her life.

Raimee said she will be in physical therapy for a long time. Doctors tell her she may never regain feeling in at least one of the legs. Brown said she will continue to push herself to fully recover.
