The Development Corporation of Abilene met Tuesday to discuss funding a construction project at a local manufacturing plant.

Pactiv is the company that owns the facility at the Five Points Parkway and they are asking the DCOA for $305,000, along with a 10 percent contingency for work that will accomodate a new manufacturing line inside the warehouse.

Pactiv deals with the food service and packaging industry and employs about 12,000 people worldwide.
