The Eagles earned their berth in the Regional semifinals by running over, through, and around Arlington Lamar on Saturday night.
Abilene High gained over 250 yards on the ground in the win. The offensive line deserves a lot of the credit, and head coach Steve Warren loves the way that group has come together.
Coach Warren said, "A lot of people don't realize that the offensive line has got to play together at different times to get better. There are a lot of calls that are made. You got to trust the guy next to you. You've got to get a good feel for what he's going to do. We stayed healthy up there. Ethan Miko has gotten healthy. He started the year off banged up. He was returner from last year, as well. The young guys have gotten on the same page with Chantz and Ethan and really did a great job on Friday night."
The offensive line will have their hands full on Saturday in Justin. The Eagles are getting ready to take on Class 4A Division 1 state finalist Hewitt Midway at 2. Both teams are 12-0.
