A truck slammed into a power pole in northeast Abilene Wednesday morning, slowing traffic through the busy intersection.

Police say the pickup driver was going too fast when he turned from Judge Ely boulevard to East North 10 Street.

The driver lost control of the truck and ran into a utility pole, suffering only minor injuries.

The accident did not interrupt electrical service in the area.
