The Stamford Bulldogs are alive and barking in the Class A Division 1 playoffs.

The Dogs started the post season with an easy victory over Tahoka on Saturday. That game was just the 2nd in a 4 week stretch for head coach Wayne Hutchinson's team, so there was a little concern over how they would play, but as it turns out. Everything was just fine.

"Leading up to the Tahoka game we were definitely worried because we had an open week and then a big district showdown with Anson. Then the next week we were open again. We really had to talk to our kids about staying mentally focused. We talked to them about 'hey we're going to take each play one at a time.'  We're going to take each game one at a time," said head coach Wayne Hutchinson.

"We're going to take it one step at a time. Anything can happen in the playoffs. It's just crazy scenarios. We've just to stay humble, and just go take each game on step at a time," said Roy Alaniz.

The Bulldogs get right back to work Thursday night in Wichita Falls. They take on Quanah at Memorial Stadium at 7.
