By: Liz Gonzales
Updated: December 2, 2012

It happened late Friday night when 26 year-old Lafette Latrell Battee was pulled over. Police say he was driving without a valid license but more importantly they found Battee was involved in an aggravated kidnapping that happened on Thursday.

A witness who apparently saw him with the victim provided an affidavit and was able to pick him out of a line up. The victim of the kidnapping told police Battee injured her and tried to rape her. She also says she tried to get away several times but was forced into the vehicle.

Battee is charged with first degree felony aggravated kidnapping and is being held on a $75,000 bond.
