Holiday Pet Costume Contest Added to Brownwood Christmas Festival

By: Press Release
Updated: December 4, 2012
Pet owners from around Brown County will have the chance to show off their pet's holiday fashion at the first annual holiday pet costume contest during this weekend's Christmas Under the Stars Festival.

The contest will take place on Friday, December 7 in the Depot Civic and Cultural Center. Registration begins at 5 p.m. and judging will take place at 6 p.m.

The cost is $5 per entry, and cash prizes will be awarded - $25 for first place and $15 for second.
All pets have to be collared with tags, current on shots and leashed at all times.

This will be a great opportunity to show which pets are best dressed for the holiday season.  All proceeds will benefit the Corinne T. Smith Animal Center.

The 4th annual Christmas Under the Stars Festival will feature holiday games, crafts, food and attractions for kids of all ages. The event will take place on Friday, December 7 and Saturday, December 8 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Depot Complex, Adams Street Community Center, and the Lehnis Railroad Museum.

Key attractions will include Mr. and Mrs. Claus, ice skating, rock climbing wall, and several holiday themed contests.

For more information contact the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce at 325-646-9535 or visit BrownwoodChamber.org.
