Matthew Torres serves as Host and Producer on KTAB 4u weekdays at 4
p.m.
Matthew was born in the Philippines and moved to Canada at age 7. Eventually, he made his way to the Lone Star State junior year in high school.
Matthew obtained his B.A. in Coverged Broadcast Media from the University of North Texas and was awarded two 2012 Lone Star Emmies for Best College Newscast and College News Reporting for "Occupy Dallas."
While in college, Matthew was the News Director for their campus television, ntTV (North Texas Television). He later helped host and produce the BEA-winning entertainment talk show, North Texas NOW. He interned for HousingWire, a mortgage and finance news publication and KTVT CBS 11 in Dallas/Fort Worth.
He says he loves the Big Country for their small town environment and friendly individuals and enjoys providing local, fun content to viewers.
