Big Country Christmas Ball Scheduled for December 15

The 9th annual Big Country Christmas Ball benefitting the West Texas Rehabilitation Center and sponsored by the Scurry, Fisher and Kent County Round-Up for Rehab Chairmen along with the Snyder Chamber of Commerce, Basic Energy, B-4 Fars, Hargrove Ranch Insurance/Fisher-Jones Title Company, Permian Transport and Trading, and Indeca Energy, Inc., will be held on December 15, 2012, at The Coliseum in Snyder.

Charles Church, D.V.M. says this year's featured entertainer will be Bobby Flores and the Yellow Rose Band.

Bobby Flores is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, arranger, producer, composer and first-call session musician. Bobby has played with artists such as: Conway Twitty, George Strait, Tanya Tucker, Garth Brooks, and Johnny Bush. Bobby is featured on over four hundred albums, CDs, and singles, including performances with numerous artists on major labels. Bobby feels at home doing western swing and country music. He also composes for and performs with string quartets.

Kinney Hart says the doors will open at 7:00 p.m. and the dance will start at 8:00 p.m. Come and join us for an evening of good entertainment and dancing that will help raise needed funds for the Rehab which has treated over 250 patients from our area for 2011.

Tommy Riley says tickets will be $15 per person and they will be available at the door. Tables will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

The West Texas Rehab Center is a private, non-profit, 501 (c) (3) organization founded in 1953 in Abilene, Texas. Today, the Center is a nationally respected organization with approximately 200 full-time staff in three facilities providing out-patient rehabilitation care each year to more than 500 children and adults each day.

The organization's mission since inception has been to improve the quality of life of those we serve regardless of their financial circumstance. No one is denied service for lack of ability to pay.
