This year the Albany Lions made the move from division one to division two in Class A. That didn't mean the road to a state title got any easier. In fact it may have become more difficult with a match-up against Munday in the quarterfinals.

"We try to stay consistant throughout the year. We're not going to change too much because it's Munday. They've got a great football team, but we're going to keep trying to do the things we've been doing all year long to make us better. And the tings that got us in this position," said head coach Denny Faith.

"Playing someone early in the season helps us get a better look at them. Even though they got the best of us the first time. It really gave us a chance to make some corrections this time," said Chance Winters. "Just thinking about it the whole week, it kind of gives you butterflies sometimes. Sitting in class or in school you get kind of worked up just thinking about it. You've got  keep that locked up and let it out on the field. Keep it bottled up until the game starts, and make your mark then."

Faith added, "They handed it to us the first time, they've got a great football team, and if you're not ready to play the same thing can happen to you."

Outside of that one loss to Munday this season the Albany Lions are outscoring their opponents 52 to 20. On Friday night they'll get the opportunity to avenge that one and only loss to Munday.
