Colorado City is once again playing in December, and that's a nice present for the Wolves.  This week they'll be unwrapping Sonora. Coming into the game the Wolves have found a way to win close games, and are taking advantage of their opportunities on the field.

"With the exception of one game, all of our games have been close and come down to the wire. Thankfully our kids have found a way to win those close games. We believe if we keep it close, we have a chance to win it," said head coach Frank D. Johnson.

"It's all on the coaches. We go in at halftime and the coaches give us adjustments. We go out and execute them," said quarterback Mark Henderson. "I mean it feels good. We just go out there and do what we have to do. It feels pretty good, and the momentum keeps going."

"We're not really adding anything. I think you just keep doing what you're doing, and keep getting better at what you're doing," said Johnson. "The crazy thing is, it just dawned on me, it's just 16 days away from the state championship. That's kind of a good feeling. We talked about that already today. We just come out and get better. Play with your feet, don't kill eachother, but play with your feet. Win Friday night's game today. That's something we've done all year."

Friday night the Wolves will take on Sonora in what they hope will be another win, and another gold ball under the Christmas tree.
