Petition Emerges To Remove Sheriff-Elect

An online petition to keep Billy Wade from taking office as Stephens County Sheriff has surfaced, with the first signatures turned in on Wednesday.

The petition comes in the wake of an altercation that happened over two weeks ago, between Wade and a female police officer.

The online petition, called www.removebillywade.com, went live on December 1st.
