Another chilly start today, but with strong winds out of the south, we will be heating up pretty rapidly and should be able to get about 5-10 degrees warmer than yesterday with high temperatures in the upper 70's, about 20 degrees above normal! Skies should be clear to partly cloudy as the day progresses.

Tonight will be similar to last night with calming winds and rapid cooling, allowing temperatures to get down into the low 40's overnight.

Tomorrow will be several degrees cooler due to the overnight cooling, seeing high temperatures in the upper 60's with mostly sunny skies.

Saturday we will be in the 70's one more time before we watch a strong cold front bringing some of the coolest air we've seen in this area down from Canada.

The cold front should pass through on Sunday, so we will only get into the upper 50's under partly cloudy skies.

Overnight Sunday into Monday we will dip well below freezing into the upper 20's with wind chills making it feel like it is in the teens.

Monday we will only get into the 40's for daytime highs and once again dipping into the 20's for overnight lows.

We will slowly warm back into the 50's for the middle of next week but it is looking like it should at or below average for the foreseeable future.

Also, the rain chances that were mentioned yesterday seem to have fizzled out for the most part, there just will not be enough moisture this far south to see any rain.

The Storm Prediction Center has The Big Country in an area with a risk for a "non-severe" thunderstorms tonight. As far as numbers go, I'm going with a 30% chance across the area for showers/t'storms. Remember, some of these could pulse up and reach severe levels, with the greatest concerns being large hail and damaging winds. Tomorrow, we'll have a 20% chance for showers/t'storms, once again.
KTAB PM Forecast: Monday, May 13, 2013

It'll be breezy and sunny tomorrow, but we'll have some isolated showers and thunderstorms developing late tomorrow afternoon and overnight into Wednesday.  I'm forecasting a 30% chance for precipitation, but not expecting a widespread soaking rain event (unfortunately).  Highs tomorrow will be around 85, with southerly winds 10-15mph, gusting to 25mph at times.  We'll hold on to a 30% chance for precipitation on Wednesday and 20% for Thursday night. Temperatures will begin to climb, and we'll hit the 90-degree mark by Thursday or Friday.
