Man Suspected of Shooting Children Indicted

By: Victor Sotelo
Updated: December 6, 2012
The man who allegedly shot two kids outside an Abilene apartment complex earlier this year has been indicted.

Police charged 17-year-old Keegan Clark with injury to a child.

On August 6, Clark fired his gun on North Ninth after a botched drug deal and two kids, who were innocent bystanders, were shot.

12-year-old Zachary Fernandez of Anson was shot in the head and critically injured in the incident.

Clark's now in the Taylor County jail on a bond of $100,000.

Investigators originally arrested Christopher Mack for the shootings, but after recreating the crime scene, authorities found out that he was not the gunman.
