Munday Moguls Don't Let The Talk Get To Them

There have been high expectations for this Munday Mogul football team from the very beginning. But because of the way they are playing, some of those expectations have turned into not if they get a state title, but when. It's talk the Munday Moguls hear, but they're not letting it get to them.

"Coaches game plan us well so we know what we are going in to do. People keep talking, but we try to block that out so we know what to do and do it well." Says Senior Jake Myers.

"Last year, everyone though we were a good team, but  Windthorst was there and they had been in the State Championship the year before so everyone kind of expected them to be there. Now we are kind of in that role this year, and lots of people make their opinions known and have expectations. These young men have been though this enough to know you have to take this one week at a time." adds Head Coach Patrick Corcoran.

" It's all fun, listening to it. It gets you excited, but you kind of need to block it out, keep it out of your head so it doesn't get you real high above where you are. Keeps the team nice and level." says Senior Logan Groves.

"It's the 4th year these boys have been in the playoffs, and so from the get go when they are Freshman, they hear the same thing. We are playing this one week at a time, because if you don't take care of this one the season's over with." continues Corcoran.

More of that hype surrounds this game against Albany as the Lions and Moguls meet for the second time this season on Friday at Clyde.
