TxDOT Asks Businesses to Turn Off Sprinklers to Avoid Icy Conditions

By: Press Release
Updated: December 7, 2012
With freezing weather in the forecast Sunday night and early next week, TxDOT is asking businesses along major roadways (such as Danville and Clack) to voluntarily turn off sprinkler systems.

The request was made in order to avoid runoff into driveways and intersections that could freeze and cause slick conditions.

Sprinklers should remain off until overnight temperatures are above freezing.

TxDOT say they appreciates the help in keeping local roadways safe.
