Many people gathered to pay tribute to those who fought in world war two and the wars after. Men and women shared their stories of where they were when they heard the news of the attack on pearl harbor and how it changed their lives.
"I was 5 and a half years old and I remember President Roosevelt speaking on the radio," says retired USAF Captian William Toomburg. "No TVs or anything back then. And my older brothers went off to war, my mother and father went to work on public aviation building P-47 aircraft."
Even though Toornburg was a young boy at the time of World War II, he later went on to serve his country when he was of age.
