Craftapalooza Returns to Abilene

Updated: December 8, 2012
Holiday shoppers made their way to the Civic Center Saturday to get their hands on some unique gifts. Organizers at the 2nd Craftapalooza said they saw more shoppers this time around.

They said it provides a good opportunity for vendors in the area to get their names out to the Big Country while encouraging people to shop locally to find one-of-a-kind treasures.

"It's important because there's more people coming through here, there's a lot of traffic, and we get to shop and look, and they get to shop and look with us too," said vendor Linda Gilliland. "It's really good for our community and just gives people a chance to buy something different and unique that we don't always get here in Abilene."

The next Craftapalooza will be in July.
