As he set out to finish a project in his house Saturday morning, Ladd Lawrence realized something was wrong.

"I noticed that my yard lights and my tires were slashed and I got to looking at all the neighbors' were slashed too," he said.

As he observed the damage, he realized his neighbor's reaction was exactly the same.

"They just yanked all them up and busted them, threw them out in the street," Ladd said.

"We had one car flat," said Joe Morles. "And we was talking about it and started looking and we see three or four in that row was all flat."

It happened sometime late Friday night, leaving very few clues as to who did this and why.

"I think they came along in a car and the tires next to the street and they just got out with a knife like they stabbed my tires like  three different places with probably a blade about 'yay' big," explained Ladd.

But Ladd and this neighborhood are not the only ones who have fallen victim to this crime. In fact, he found out that he was one of twenty whose tires had been slashed when he went in to get them replaced.

"I just found out that I wasn't the only one and my neighbors wasn't either, that it happened  pretty much all over town," said Ladd.

Seemingly a random act of vandalism, this usually peaceful neighborhood has been left in shock.

"Well it is unusual cause that was the first time it happened around here in this area," said Joe.

Forcing them to keep their cars in the back yard or garage until they feel safe again.
