Reminder: HEB Hosts Feast of Sharing Tuesday

On Tuesday, December 11, 8,000 Abilene residents are expected to celebrate a beloved tradition at the Abilene Civic Center during the 8th Annual H-E-B Feast of Sharing Dinner.

Hundreds of H-E-B volunteers will be on hand to serve a feast to 8,000 community members.

The menu includes glazed ham with gravy, mashed potatoes, a vegetable medley and apple pie. There will be entertainment and activities for adults and kids to enjoy.

Preparing for a massive, large-scale feast of this size is no easy feat. It takes an army of volunteers to prepare 2,000 pounds of ham, 90 gallons of gravy, 250 gallons of mashed potatoes, 145 gallons of vegetable medley, 8,000 slices of apple pie and 8,000 rolls.

The H-E-B Feast of Sharing Dinner: will take place at the Abilene Civic Center on 1100 North 6 Street from 4 to 8 p.m.
