FedEx Expecting Millions of Packages on Busiest Day of Year

Santa's "other" elves are hard at work today during the busiest shipping day of the year.

Weeks of physical and mental preparation and conditioning all lead up to Monday, December 10 for FedEx.

As workers hit the ground running to deliver your packages and presents, FedEx managers expect to process a record-breaking 19 million packages.

That's more than 200 packages per second.

The surge is credited to an increase in online shopping.

FedEx has hired 20,000 seasonal workers to help with the rush.
