HSU's Popelar Earns ASC Honor

Hardin-Simmons senior guard Alexis Popelar (Longview, Texas / Pine TreeHS) averaged 15 points, 13.5 rebounds, four assists and 2.5 steals over two conference games, including a 60-52 conference road win over East Texas Baptist.

In that game, she had career-highs of 16 boards and seven assists.

Popelar, who takes the division's top weekly award for the second time this season, had two double doubles and committed just two turnovers.

She has scored in double figures in all eight of the Cowgirls' contests this season.
