The Munday Moguls are just 3 days from playing in the Class A Division II semifinals.

They are a team that gets attention because the offense is so good, but if you discount the Moguls defense, they will get you, too.

The defense has 4 shutouts, and they are allowing just 11 points a game.

It's a good unit, and they are helping to fuel the Moguls run to the playoffs.

"The defense is giving the offense those opportunities. to score those points. We're really playing very well against the run, not giving up big plays, the secondary is sticking with their coverages. We get pressure ont he quarterback," said head coach Corcoran.

"That's just straight playing hard on defense. Sticking to our keys. Doing what we do best. Keeping our alignment, and our secondary locking their receivers down," said Trey Stinnett.

"We're really proud of how they're playing. Coach Moran? sets up a good game plan for the kids, and they have the intelligence level to execute it," said Corcoran.

That defense will be tested in the semi's. Wellington has scored 40 or more points in it's last 9 games. The Moguls and the Rockets played on Friday night at 7 in Wichita Falls.
