Reminder: McMurry Men's Basketball Hosting Food Drive Tuesday

By: Press Release
Updated: December 18, 2012
On Tuesday, December 18 the McMurry University Men's Basketball Team will be hosting a very special food drive to benefit the Abilene Food Bank.

The War Hawks have come up with two great ways to help out at the same time.

First, any fan bringing canned goods or non-perishable food items to the donation box in the lobby of Kimbrell Arena that evening will receive FREE admission to the home game versus Northern New Mexico College at 7:00 p.m.

Second, just by coming to the game that night, you will not only be able to enjoy some great McMurry Basketball action, but be helping to earn cash for the Food Bank, as well.

McM head basketball coach Chris Beard has committed to donate $1 for every fan at the game - up to 500 - to the Abilene Food Bank in time for their use this coming holiday season.

Plan to join us at McMurry on Tuesday, December 18 at 7 p.m. to spread some holiday cheer for the Abilene Food Bank, and also to cheer on the War Hawks!
