Updated: December 13, 2012
AISD's high school orchestras and its premier fiddle group, Revolution, will be hosting and performing with Western Swing band, Asleep at the Wheel, on December 13.

Funds raised from this performance will help send Revolution to China in June 2013, as well as support the supplemental lesson program which benefits all orchestra students.

Tickets can be purchased at www.startickets.com or at the Civic Center box office. Tickets are $14 for students and $19 for adults.

Revolution is one of seven U.S. and Canadian school groups, and the only group from Texas, invited to perform throughout China this June.

Members of the group must raise the funds to participate in the trip.

Directed by Darcy Radcliffe and David Keown, Revolution is a troupe of violinists, violists, guitarists, cellists and bass players.

Their performances highlight the talent and musicianship of the finest string players from the Abilene and Cooper High Schools.

The Civic Center is located at 1100 North 6 Street and the performance begins at 7:30 p.m.
