Throckmorton Is BCH Sports 6-man Team Of The Year

By: David Robinett
Updated: December 17, 2012
Throckmorton is the team of the year in 6-man football for the 2nd year in a row.

The Greyhounds could build a December home here in Abilene because they played in the state championship game at Shotwell Stadium for the 3rd year in a row on Saturday, and they claimed their 2nd state title in a row.

Throckmorton was in a class by itself in the playoffs. They scored 60 or more points in every game with a high of 80 against Rankin.

The Greyhounds even beat Windthorst in a hybrid 11-man and 6-man game earlier in the year.

Throckmorton ended the season with a 14-1 record with the 6-man Division I state championship. They beat Abbott to claim the title.
