Abilene Gold Exchange Co-Owner in Federal Court Tuesday

By: Victor Sotelo
Updated: December 18, 2012
The co-owner of the Abilene Gold Exchange where a deadly officer-involved shooting took place last week, was in federal court Tuesday morning.

Charles Camp was charged with felony possession of a firearm after police served a search warrant at his business on South Danville last week.

While serving that warrant, police shot and killed camp's business partner, Marcus Cass, when police say he drew a weapon and pointed it at police.

Camp is charged with four counts of false entry and failure to enter in tax records.

Camp will be back in court Friday where he will find out if he will be able to bond out of jail.

Camps attorney is also asking for all audio and video records from inside the store when police went in to serve the warrant and when camp was arrested.

Abilene police currently have all the recordings.
