A person dies in an alcohol-related crash every 51 minutes, and many of those people would probably have never thought they were too impaired to drive.

The Ad Council reminds drivers, especially over the holiday season, that buzzed driving is drunk driving, and it could cost you.

If driving buzzed doesn't cost your life, it could end up costing you up to $10,000 in legal fees, court costs and higher insurance rates.

The Ad Council, through Project Roadblock, is offering tips regarding how to stay safe while still enjoying holiday festivities, as well as information on how, whether buzzed or drunk, both cause dangerous impairments when behind the wheel.

Visit http://buzzeddriving.adcouncil.org/ to learn more about the perils of buzzed driving and how to make sure everyone gets home safely.
