Dee Paul overcomes injured right hand to lead Munday to Class A Div. II state championship by beating Tenaha 42-14.

Paul was thrown to the ground in the 2nd quarterback a Tenaha defender, and he spent the rest of the 1st half trying to get comfortable. Once he did, though, Paul went through the Tigers defense like it wasn't there.

The Moguls senior scored on his 1st carry of the game from 57 yards out to put the Moguls up 8-0 after the 2pt. conversion.

The teams were tied at 14 at halftime, and the Moguls pulled away in the 3rd quarter. Rodderick Taylor scored for Munday early in the 3rd quarter. That score was followed by a pick 6 by defensive end L.J. Collier to give the Moguls a 28-14 lead.

Paul, the Offensive Player of the Game, put the game away in the 4th quarter. He scored on runs of 55 yards and 60 yards. Paul carried the ball 16 times for 262 yards and 3 scores.

L.J. Collier was the Defensive Player of the Game for Munday.

The Moguls go wire-to-wire as the top ranked team in the state with a 15-0 record.

Munday's championship is the school's 3rd in the history of the school.
