NRA Calling for Armed Guards at Schools

By: BCHP News Staff
Updated: December 21, 2012
The National Rifle Association is calling for armed police officers to be posted in every school in America.

The top lobbyist for the organization says the only thing that will stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.

Wayne Lapierre refused to take any questions, but two protesters interrupted his remarks, holding signs that blamed the NRA for killing children.

Security officers took the protesters out.

This was the first time the NRA has publicly responded since last week's shooting rampage at a Connecticut  elementary school that left 20 children and six adults dead before the gunman took his own life.

He had shot and killed his mother at the home they shared before he went to the school.
