The object of the game is pretty simple.

The more times you place the hat on the snowman, the more points to rack up.

"How many people have said, 'Ugh if there was just an app for that?' Well, probably all of us, but I wanted to be the person who says I wish there was an app for that I wanted to start creating them," said Tai Ann Cclendon.

It may seem easy, but there are a few obstacles along the way.

But, no matter how well you do, the point of the game isn't as much about getting the hats on the snowman as much as getting you into the Christmas spirit.

At least that's what Tai Ann Mcclendon was thinking when she created the mobile phone app.

"Who doesn't enjoy Christmas?", she said, "It's a beautiful season, it's full of a lot of joy and I wanted to do a game that would engage people in that kind of way."

Making apps has become a career for this stay at home mom.

It's a way for her to not only be creative, but make  a few bucks at the same time.

"In the app world you have the opportunity to be inventive and creative without having a lot of upfront costs," she said.

Her biggest payoff, seeing them come to life.

"It feels really empowering to know that you can have an idea and you can take an idea into a practical product," said Mcclendon.

It's also a chance to make  customized games  that her own kids can enjoy.

"Well I always think its important that when you have ideas that you go for them," she said.

So far she's designed two other cell phone apps and they're not just games.

But this one may just be her favorite just yet, especially now that Christmas time is here.

You can purchase all of her apps including this one, let it snow in I tunes for 99 cents.
